The end of a chapter, life is short but a book is shorter. The tale of Kaoru is the second part of the tale of Genji which is the first know novel to ever be written.
It was written around 1010 in Japan by a woman known as Murasaki Shikibu
the novel is about the art of seduction. thought very little in Murasaki Shikibu’s prose is plainly stated. Things are
suggested, alluded to, often nebulously. What counts in the seduction scenes is the art, the poetry.
